Watch: Pacers take the lead in elimination Game 6 with 17-2 run

In a back-and-forth Game 6, Indiana made a run while Jalen Brunson couldn’t make a shot.

Indiana went on a 17-2 run late in the second quarter and went into halftime with 61-51 lead. Facing elimination, the Pacers got 11 points from Myles Turner, who added some monster dunks to his usual diet of three-pointers.

They also got 15 points from Pascal Siakam, their prized midseason acquisition. Going up against the smaller Josh Hart, Siakam feasted on layups and turnaround jumpers.

But scoring 61 points in a half isn’t out of the ordinary for the Pacers. This run was keyed by Brunson’s struggles, as he closed the half missing 11 shots in a row. During Indiana’s run, the Knicks’ top scorer missed four shots from the field and a pair of free throws.

The only thing that kept the end of the half from being a total disaster for New York  was Donte DiVincenzo closing the second quarter with his third triple of the game.

The Knicks are going to need their other guard to score if they want to eliminate the Pacers. But if Brunson can’t outscore Siakam in the second half, the series is heading back to New York.
